COVID-19 UPDATE
California has lifted its stay at home order.
Great Outdoors (GO) outdoor events are now allowed but must be consistent with the requirements for gatherings set in the California Blueprint for a Safer Economy.Great Outdoors (GO) consists of five Chapters serving regions throughout Southern California. Membership entitles privileges to all events, activities, and discounts sponsored by any of the Great Outdoors Chapters. We are a non-profit, all volunteer club predominately serving the LGBTQA+ community.
You may join any Chapter you wish, regardless of where you reside or work. We encourage you to explore each Chapter on this website as each Chapter has its own personality and unique style. Our activities include camping trips, day hiking, backpacking, whitewater rafting, canoes, swimming, kayaking, fishing, 4x4 off-road, cycling, mountain biking, social gatherings, game nights and other interesting events. Camping event notices are usually emailed to all members while hikes, social events, etc. are only sent to their respective Chapter members. From the main events page, you can view and sign up for events regardless of which Chapter sponsors the event.
