While most of our day outings are free and open to non-members, we invite you to join Great Outdoors San Diego (GOSD) as a member, because membership does have its benefits.

• Early email notice on GOSD overnight trips, which often sell out quickly

• Bi-monthly newsletter with details on upcoming events and other happenings

Why membership?

Membership fees give our group the funds necessary to plan multiple group trips and events (think camping, kayaking, parties, etc.), which require significant deposits to reserve our awesome locations up to a year in advance, and purchase group food, supplies, decorations, etc. Also, all the behind-the-scenes costs of running a non-profit, like this website, bank fees, marketing... Great Outdoors is entirely volunteer-run. Your membership keeps this group going for the LGBT community!

The fine print:

• You must be eighteen years of age or older.

• Our regular annual membership rate is $25 per person, $15 for seniors, and $10 for students.

• We are governed by a set of bylaws, which, by becoming a member, you agree to follow and abide by.

• As a member, you agree to be bound by our Terms and Conditions.  

COVID-19 Policy:

Most of our participants are vaccinated, and we ask that you get vaccinated and boosted if able to.  Participants must comply with the following requirements as a condition of registering for events:

• Follow Federal, State and local COVID guidelines as well as the directions of the event leader(s).
• Maintain distance (min. 6') and wear a mask if social distancing is not possible.
  
• Not attend if feeling ill or have any symptoms of COVID.
  
• Contact Trip Leader if I test positive for COVID within 14 days of the event.
