Fall is here and it’s the perfect time of year to start your week with a casual 20-mile bike ride on the CV Link. Our route will take us past Demuth Park and then on through the Prescott Preserve, continuing down the protected bike path along Mesquite. At Belardo, we will ride on neighborhood streets, past Marilyn, and then on through Old Las Palmas. We’ll cross Palm Canyon at Via Escuela and continue riding until we rejoin the Link near Gene Autry. After that, the rest of our ride is wide open as we cross Vista Chino with ease (thanks to the new crossing light) and then go under Ramon using the underpass. Via Escuela is the only “busy” street we will ride on, but the traffic is usually light, and the street is bicycle-friendly. Restrooms will be available at Demuth Park and The Downtown Park.

Meet Location: Tahquitz Creek Golf Resort (1885 Golf Club Dr, Palm Springs) at 7:15 AM and start riding at 7:30 AM (park over to the left of the parking lot). Map click here.

Bring: Water, snacks, sun protection and layered clothing. You may choose to bring along bicycle repair paraphernalia.
