PS - Stargazing: Saturn at Rancho Mirage Observatory

The Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory is a public library and science education complex, with regularly scheduled Public Exploration Nights offering guided views of the sky. November is a great month to see Saturn and Great Outdoors will meet to enjoy stargazing together. Although we will not have private use of the facility, people are admitted 10 at a time, so as long as we line up together we will enter together (in groups of 10).

Logistics and Meeting Details

• Meeting Time: 6:00 PM
• Meeting Location: Line-up area in front of the Observatory
• Parking: Free parking, preferably in the North Parking Lot
• Cost: Free
• What to Bring: Clothing appropriate for waiting outside
• Inclement Weather: If the Observatory cancels the Exploration Night we will reschedule to another date
• Health & Safety: Please carry Emergency Contact Information (ICE). If you have any medical concerns or allergies that may affect your ability to safely enjoy this event please discuss them privately with the trip leader in advance.
• Optional Dinner: Those interested will meet for dinner at a local restaurant - please indicate when signing up so we can make an accurate reservation.
