Willow Creek trail to Hidden Lake
We will take the Tram up and enter the wilderness and head up the Willow Creek trail for almost 1.75 miles to Hidden Lake, and return the same way -- 3.5 miles total. The lake is very special, and exists only in some winters and springs, and we will visit to see the blue curl plants. Every participant must sign a permission slip.
You should have hiked at elevation before if you sign up for this hike.
Meeting Time/Location: Arrive at the Tram base station at 7:30 AM in order to buy your ticket. Get a ticket for the 8:00 car (or 2nd car if first sold out). If you get on the 2nd car, we will wait for you at the mountain station patio.
Tram Ticket Cost: $34-36 online price. Or you can purchase these tickets at the staton, but be early. You can also use a pass. Parking is free to Coachella Valley residents with ID, or any pass holder.
What to Bring: Ten Essentials, water (1 to 2 liters recommended), lunch/snacks, sun protection, layered clothing, hiking poles may be helpful. Carry emergency contact information.
