PS - Volunteer: CHUCKWALLA NAT'L MONUMENT CLEANUP

Celebrate the first anniversary of the Chuckwalla National Monument. 

The event is co-hosted by the Protect California Deserts Coalition and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) to help steward the desert landscape.

• Date: Saturday, January 24, 2026
• Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Location: After signing up, you will receive an email for specific directions to the meeting location (near Box Canyon Rd and Mecca. 
• Registration: Participants must RSVP to receive information about the meeting location and what to bring. RSVP HERE. This link will take you to Eventbrite registration.

8:15 AM Meet at PetSmart/Walmart Palm Springs, Ramon/Crossley. Click Here for Map.  Carpooling may be available.

What We’ll Provide

• Gloves, trash bags, a grabber tool, and buckets
• Water coolers to refill your bottles
• Carbonated water and snacks
• Pop-up tents for shade

What to Bring & Wear

• Reusable water bottle (refill stations will be available)
• Closed-toed shoes
• Hat and weather-appropriate clothing
• Your “Protect Chuckwalla” t-shirt, if you have one
• A camera or phone to capture the day

Restrooms

• Nearby restrooms at Mecca Sports Park in Mecca
• A BLM pit toilet is located up Painted Canyon Road (requires a high-clearance vehicle)

This event is FREE and open to all, but registration is required.
