Event Details

Highlights include beautiful views and well-maintained paths. Challenges involve steep inclines and limited shade.

Where Do We Begin?

Directions to the trailhead:

From CA-2 N/Glendale Fwy to Foothill Blvd in La Cañada Flintridge. Take exit 21C from CA-2 N/Glendale Fwy

Go up Palm Drive and make a left on Jessen Drive then make a right on the first very small private street, Solliden Lane after you cross a bridge (it’s almost immediately after you make that left on Jessen). You’ll then be able to see the yellow gate ones you make that right. Take note that there are technically 3 streets called Solliden once you turn on Jessen Drive it looks like you can park on any of them but the entrance to the trail is only on the one East of the Bridge.

We will take a long break at the turn around point (Tank Saddle) so recommendation is to bring a lunch and plenty of snacks.

What to Bring:

You should bring your ten essentials, a day pack, water (2 to 3 liters), trekking poles, sunscreen, hat and trail snacks.

BRING PLENTY OF WATER!

Temperature on Wednesday is forecast to be 75 degrees for the high.  So it will be a warm day since there is plenty of elevation and no shade.
