The preserve walkways are still in disrepair, but are due to start getting some construction soon. There are still miles of hiking available. Wednesday the weather will be in the 60s and 70s, so I will be leading a hike of about 1.5 miles with a little elevation gain. The pace will be relaxed.
This hike is rated easy to moderate. Some of the trail will be on uneven dirt with some rocks and roots, and possibly some water. Bring 1-2 liters of water and a snack. We will stay on the paths closest to the stream, and will check out the trail construction. There may be some early flowerings.
Meeting is at 7:50 am (for 8:00 departure) in the parking lot next to Carl's Jr, at the corner of N. Palm Canyon and Racquet Club in Palm Springs, enter on Racquet Club click here For drivers, the preserve parking lot is located here
