Calling all Airmen and Airwomen! Grab that control stick, lower your flaps, open that cargo door and come celebrate flight!
Long Beach Airport’s (LGB) award-winning Festival of Flight is coming in for a landing Saturday, October 25, 2025. No tickets are required. The popular free event is returning with aircraft on static display, live music, food and beer trucks, activities for kids and bi-plane and helicopter rides for purchase.

Activities to make that control stick shake:
- Live music all day, dance to the Boogie-Woogie sounds of the Satin Dollz 1940s wartime era performances (https://www.thesatindollz.com/) with other local rock and country artists.
- Food area with a variety of food and beer trucks from local vendors
- Festival area with t-shirts, aviation artwork, other shops and local merchants and information
- Large military and commercial aircraft with walk-throughs, arounds and unders, along with Navy, Coast Guard, Police and other helicopters, light aircraft, historical aircraft, Soviet aircraft and stars like the Gulfstream 7500. Most of these are staffed with crew more than eager to chat with you about the aircraft and their jobs on it ,or even life in general... Or get your picture in the cockpit pilot seat looking hot for your online profiles
- Flyovers by air acrobats, classic aircraft and formation flyers.
- The event is next to the end of the runway at LGB so you can watch the commercial scheduled flights roar to take-off
Expect to attend the outdoor event between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Taxiway E, located on the west end of the airfield at 3590 East Wardlow Road. There is a bike valet at the entrance. Limited (meaning get there early) free parking will be available at the corner of East Wardlow Road and Globemaster Way. Additional free parking provided near the Long Beach Airport Marriott with free shuttles to the event gate every 20 minutes. See the event link for more detail or contact the trip leader below.
Attendees are advised to bring water and sunscreen, wear a hat for shade, wear sensible shoes and be prepared to be outdoors, rain or shine. Coolers will not be allowed, and bags will be subject to search. Service animals will be permitted, but pets will not.
We would like to meet up around noon for a group photo! An exact location for the meet up will be emailed to registrants before the event.
