DAY HIKE LEADER
Welcome, future hike leader!
Thank you for stepping up to lead with Great Outdoors California. Whether you're a seasoned trekker or new to the trail, this training will equip you with the tools to guide hikes that are safe, inclusive, and memorable. Current hike leaders are encouraged to attend as a refresher and to share their valuable experience and expertise.
Over the course of two sessions, you'll learn how to:
Plan and describe hikes that spark curiosity and confidence
Lead with clarity and care, from trailhead to sign-out
Promote outdoor ethics and Leave No Trace principles
Handle unexpected challenges with composure and protocol
Part 2 will be scheduled at a time that works for all participants from Part 1.
Zoom link will be sent in the confirmation and reminder emails
