Join us for a 21mile bike ride into Indian Canyons, the ancestral home of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. This ride is early on a Monday, so the newly paved road in the Canyons is likely to have little traffic. It’s a great open space to ride while taking in the spectacular scenery. The entire route is mostly flat with only slight inclines.
We will start at the Tahquitz Creek Golf Course and follow the newly completed sections of the CV Link to just south of downtown Palm Springs (some small sections of the Link may not be complete but are easy to pass through). We will then turn left on Belardo and continue south into Indian Canyons, riding all the way to Split Rock. After a break, we will return to the starting point using the same route.
The entry fee to Indian Canyons is $7 for those 62+, $12 for those under 62 (please have cash, card, or Apple Pay ready to help speed up entry).
All riders are strongly encouraged to wear helmets, and to inflate their tires to the recommended PSI. You may want to bring a tire pump, spare tube, bicycle tools, water, sunscreen and snacks.
