This sport was invented by bored lumberjacks to help pass the time and has now swept the US and Canada! There are an estimated 500 axe throwing facilities and about 75 million axes have been thrown in competition according to Thomas Black, senior manager of the International Axe Throwing Federation.
"It is not a sport that is reliant on strength. It's not a sport that is reliant on any specific physical or mental aspect of the human being. It is really open and available to anybody," Morton said. "You come in and you're an ax thrower. That is the great equalizer."
Price is $26.98 for 45 minutes, and paid at the venue.
Beer and soda are available for purchase and there are plenty of nearby restaurants.
