Have you ever wanted to decorate a Rose Bowl Float?

Please meet in the front parking lot at 12:45 pm so we can sign in as a group. If you get there late, please call or text Trip Leader Pamela Wegner at 323/337-2028.
Please Register before December 20th. Spots are filling up quickly. We might actually be able to work with fresh flowers at this date.
Non-GO members can participate in this event. Waiver must be signed by all to participate.
FAQ'S:
Age Requirement: All volunteer decorators must be at least 12 years of age.
Food & Beverage: During dry decorating days, it is advisable to bring your own food and beverages. During the floral decorating week food trucks will be available outside of Rosemont Pavilion for purchase. There are not a lot of food options within walking distance of Rosemont Pavilion.
Flowers & Seed: Volunteers may not take or use for personal reasons any decorating materials inclusive of flowers or seeds, from the decorating site. Every decoration is needed to complete our floral masterpieces.
Parking: There is free public parking available in the designated areas around Rosemont Pavilion and Rose Bowl Stadium.
Personal Belongings: Please do not bring valuable items to Volunteer Decorating. We do not provide lockers or safe spaces for personal items and encourage all volunteers to leave items of value in a secure place. Artistic Entertainment Services is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items. Cameras and mobile devices are permitted, photographs should be taken before or after your work is complete. You are welcome to bring your own folding chair should you require a seat to perform your duties.
Safety: Please note that this is a working construction site. Scaffolding, heavy objects, electrical equipment and cords will be in and around your working space. Please do not climb on scaffolding or use electrical equipment without express verbal direction and guidance. Volunteers under the age of 13 will not be allowed on any scaffolding.
Volunteer Check-in: All volunteers are required to sign in and sign out before and after each shift at Volunteer Decorating check- in.
Waivers: All volunteers must bring a signed copy of the Waiver form to participate in volunteer decorating. (See waiver image below. A link to a more easily printed version will be added on or about Dec 19.) Minors, between the ages of 12 & 17 must have a parent/guardian signature on the waivers. Artistic Entertainment Services will follow all public health orders as well as all city and local government agency requirements as it pertains to COVID 19 protocols.
What to wear: Please wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting dirty, painted, or torn. Dress in layered as it is typically very cold in our float facility.
Work Responsibilities: Cutting, prepping, and gluing both dry material and fresh flowers to various float elements. Light painting as needed.
Please bring signed waiver to the event
The area is located across from the Rose Bowl on the east side of the Jackie Robinson baseball stadium.
Health issues/allergies: It is the responsibility of participants to carry on their person a record of significant allergies, medications and medical history in the event of a medical emergency. Discuss any medical concerns with the tour leader if you wish.
