SBVC - Shoreline Park to Chromatic Gate

Because of the continued heavy rains most hiking trails in the Santa Barbara area are closed until May 9. And, the trails that might not be damaged are likely to be muddy from this week’s rain, so let’s take a walk on sidewalks. This will be an easy urban walk along the sidewalks following the shoreline of the city, from Shoreline Park to the Chromatic Gate and back. This won’t be strenuous and will be suitable for people in any condition as well as good in any type of weather. The prediction is for partially sunny but cool weather on Saturday so please bring appropriate clothing, water, sunscreen, and snacks.

Distance:  approximately 4-4.5 miles      

Time:  approx. 2.5-3 hours

Elevation gain: 100 feet or less                  

Difficulty level: Easy

Let’s meet at 9:00 AM at Shoreline Park where the parking is free (by the parking lot in the middle of the park) . Afterwards we might want to have lunch at Mesa Burger.
