The Maze to Copper Mountain Overview

  • Hiking Time 2 ½ hours

This hike travels part of the Maze Loop trail and encompasses some of its best features. It winds through large boulders and rock formations, cliffs, desert washes and peaks out at a summit overlook Copper Mountain and surrounding area.  It encompasses just about everything people love about Joshua Tree in one lightly-traveled trail.

Bring:  Ten Essentials, water (1 to 2 litters recommended), snacks and or lunch. Hat, sunscreen.  Sturdy hiking footwear with good tread. Carry Emergency Contact Information (ICE).

Carpooling: may be available if offered by drivers. 

Fees/Charges: Joshua Tree Park entrance fee, carpool donation.
