Anza Borrego: The Slot Hike

CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

When: Tuesday, February 28, 2023 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Location: Anza Borrego State Park ($10.00 day pass or Annual State Park Pass required)

Join us for a weekday San Diego ramble. Today’s hike will be a loop hike called the “The Slot”. This is a very popular slot canyon in Anza Borrego Desert State Park. There is some rock scrambling, which makes this a moderate hike. Trekking poles are helpful; especially the climb up the road called “The Drop-off”. There were some dessert wildflowers blooming in early February, so more wildflowers should be in bloom in late February. This is an open invite to members or non-members and requires an RSVP (limited to 15 hikers). Please be sure to mask-up when appropriate and social distance on the trail, which is very easy.

Details: We will begin at The Slot Trailhead parking lot in Anza Borrego State Park.
