PS - Hike: Pioneer Preserve near Yucca Valley

Hike will be up the wash along the riparian area past the stone house to Indian Canyon Jct. and back.   

• Meet at Billy Reed's Restaurant, 1800 N Palm Canyon Dr, Palm Springs
• Time:  12:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m.
• Trail Length: 4 - 4.5 miles
• Hiking time: 2-3 hours
• Total Elevation Gain/Loss: 500 feet
• Difficulty Rating: Easy - moderate
• Suitable for beginning hikers
• Terrain: Rocky, sandy, uneven in wash

Bring: Ten Essentials, water (2 to 3 liters recommended), lunch/ snacks, sun protection, layered clothing, hiking poles may be helpful. Carry Emergency Contact Information. Sturdy hiking footwear with good tread and adequate drinking water are required. 

Carpooling is encouraged. You are responsible for arranging you own transportation. Arrive a few minutes early for briefing. Departure is at 12:00 p.m.
