  • Passengers register directly as 'Passenger'
  • Passengers are responsible for arranging their ride. During registration please list your driver.
  • This category is for passengers looking for a ride. GO does not arrange carpooling, but we will provide your name to a driver wishes to take on a passenger in their 4x4 vehicle. During the registration process put "looking for a ride" in the ride sharing box.

Points of Interest: Hideout Mine, Ivanhoe Mine, and Ironage Mine. Beginning at Gold Crown Road we will explore the Old Dale Mining District  and exit via Iron Age Mine approximately 15 miles East of 29 Palms on Hwy 62. Approximately 25 miles on the trail. There is a narrow shelf road up to Ivanhoe Mine. This is a loop route beginning a Gold Crown Rd. and ending at Ironage Rd. Rated Moderate. 

Meeting Locations:

8:00 AM - PetSmart, Ramon/Crossley, Palm Springs - Map 

9:15 AM at the 7 Eleven station Twentynine Palms - Map

Expect to be on the trail for 5 or mor hours

Optional dinner at John's Place in Yucca Valley Map

Equipment Requirements:

4-wheel drive high clearance vehicle with transfer case, trail rated tires, a spare tire and a full tank of gas. Bring water and Lunch. Trail communications frequency 146.550   Pets are welcome. 

Drivers are welcome to bring passengers which should be arranged ahead of time.  GO does not arrange rideshares. If any drivers wish to take a passenger, we will share passenger contact information with them (phone #) so they can make arrangements.

Special COVID Related Requirements - all attendees to be fully vaccinated. Please do not show up if you are feeling ill, have temperature, or coughing.
