CAMPING TRIP - SALTON SEA
Including A Tour Of A Geothermal Plant
Notice: Effective October 1, 2004, a two dollar fee ($2) will be charged for all non members on day hikes, 4x4 outings and moonlight hikes.

Description: Scott is leading a camping trip to the Salton Sea State Recreation Area (SRA). We'll be camping in the "New Camp" campground located adjacent to the Visitor Center. The campground is nice with shaded areas, picnic tables, fire pits, running water, flush toilets and showers. Both tents and RVs can be accomodated.

For those camping, a special tour of a geothermal plant is being offered. We'll also have a couple of hikes, visit to the mud volcanoes, a visual presentation of the San Andreas Fault at the Salton Sea, a visit to Salvation Mountain and a group potluck meal.
