Great Outdoors consists of five
Chapters serving regions throughout Southern California.
Membership entitles privileges to all events,
activities, and discounts sponsored by any of the Great
Outdoors Chapters. We are a non-profit, all volunteer
club predominately serving the Gay & Lesbian community.
You may join any Chapter you wish, regardless of where
you reside or work. We encourage you to explore each
Chapter's web pages. You will find that each
Chapter has their own "personality" and unique style.
Our activities include camping trips, day hiking,
backpacking, whitewater rafting, canoes, swimming, kayaking, fishing,
4x4 off-road, cycling, mountain biking, social gatherings, game nights
and other interesting events.
Geographically, our Chapters cover the following areas:
Los Angeles
- Los Angeles county
Orange
County/Long Beach - Orange county, including Long
Beach
Palm Springs
- Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley
San Diego -
San Diego county
Santa
Barbara/Ventura - Santa Barbara and Ventura counties
