DAY HIKE - SADDLE JUNCTION LOOP

Notice: Effective October 1, 2004, a two dollar fee ($2) will be charged for all non members on day hikes, 4x4 outings and moonlight hikes.

PS Tram Description: From the top of the tram, we will hike through pine forests to Round Valley on a trail that works its way up a small valley with a stream that may still have water in it. From there, we will climb to Wellman Divide, the highest point of the hike, which offers great views to the south, including a good view of Tahquitz Peak, Red Tahquitz, Toro Peak, and Santa Rosa Mountain. From there, the trail descends through an area with springs and then forests as the trail goes south to Saddle Junction, where we will have lunch at the junction of five trails. After lunch, the trail continues to descend until we cross Willow Creek. We will pass through a forest of large pines towering over ferns and then climb 1,000 feet on our way back to the tram.
* You will be responsible for paying your own Tram Ride fare. *
Tram Prices (as of 7/2/08) - Adults $22.25 / Seniors $20.25 (60+) / Annual Pass $150.00 (adults) / Summer Pass $60 (adults)
