PALM SPRINGS ART MUSEUM
CHILL OUT WITH A FREE ART WALK

Notice: Effective October 1, 2004, a two dollar fee ($2) will be charged for all non members on day hikes, 4x4 outings and moonlight hikes.

Description: One of the most popular Great Outdoors events returns with a free docent tour of the Palm Springs Art Museum Thursday, August 16, at 4:00 pm.

Docent Vinny Stoppia will walk the group through a Modern Masters exhibit of Matisse, Picasso, Van Gogh, Renoir, Monet and Manet. The group will then view a new exhibit: “Treasures of the West,” and a new built-on-site stick sculpture by Patrick Dougherty.

The museum provides carry-along chairs but does not permit food or drinks, not even bottled water. (They have drinking fountains.) The tour will end at 5:30 p.m.

Meet at the ticket counter inside the museum, not at Hunter’s. The museum does not charge admission Thursday nights, so our event will be free.

Call: Patrick Hinrichsen @ (760) 660.0719 with any questions.
