Deep Creek Hot Springs
Day Trip
November 12, 2006

Deep Creek Hot Springs are the only hot springs in the San Bernardino Mountains. This is an easy but steep hike from Bowen Ranch brings you to the five clothing-optional pools. Temperatures of the pools vary from approximately 105° to about 120° They are formed from a natural rock outcropping over the edge of Deep Creek. The water cascades from pool to pool, cooling as it descends the 40 feet to the creek The creek itself is about 25 feet wide and from 3 to 10 feet deep. It provides a great way to chill out between soaks. We must cross the creek before reaching the springs, by wading or possibly by rock hopping.

We will car pool from the Park and Ride in Orange. See the trip notes for details.
