ALL ABOARD for the Great Outdoors’ “Turnaround Trip” to Laughlin, Nevada!
It would be cruel to call this a mere bus trip. This is a fine European coach and since Europe has always been known for its queens, you might say this trip is especially for us!
This trip is available to the first 50 people who book. You must be 21 years of age (or older) and you must have valid ID with you (when you board). (This is a requirement of our host hotel/casino--not the bus company or Great Outdoors.)
A $5 meal ticket and fun book, a part of the package, will be given to you when we arrive at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino.
This year we are inviting and encouraging all of our chapters to participate. If you have friends that would like to go, please register them as soon as possible. We’ve also invited OC-Pflag & Shanti-OC so we are more likely to come pretty close to filling our European “coach,” which is bigger this year. (Silver State has really upgraded with all new large European touring buses with bigger windows and 55 reclining seats for all!)
We have had two pick-up points for the last three years.
Pick-up point 1: arrive 6:30am / depart 7am - Anaheim parking structure:
235 Center Street (from Harbor, go right on Lincoln Blvd, then one quick right on Anaheim Blvd, then a left on Center St).
Pick-up point 2: arrive 7:30am / depart 8am - Park & Ride lot at “The Citadel,”
Just off the Santa Ana Freeway (I-5) in Commerce (at the cross street of Atlantic Blvd) for the convenience of our L.A. Chapter’s members & friends.
We will be serving juice, water, chips, sodas and sweet rolls.
No smoking or alcohol is allowed on board the coach, but we will make a stop in Barstow so you can stretch your legs and get breakfast (if you are quick). You are welcome to bring a cup of coffee with you when you arrive at the pick-up points.
Please arrive early so you can get checked in and on board and so we can depart as close to schedule as possible.
We usually arrive in Laughlin around noon. You should bring a windbreaker or jacket and comfortable shoes for getting around the town. You will have about eight hours to sightsee, shop and try your luck. You are welcome to travel in packs or pairs and try different restaurants for dinner.
Please return to the “group area” for our return home around 8:30pm. We will depart promptly at 9pm (all times approximate and subject to change depending on weather and road conditions). We should arrive in Commerce around 1:30am and return to Anaheim about 2am Sunday morning.
