We will have camp sites for tents and RV’s , parking is ok, but carpool if at all possible.Parking is in addition to the outing fee There are hot showers and indoor toilets, picnic tables in each sites and there is an electrical outlet and water hook-ups in each camp site, we can use this for a hot plate or electric skillet and subdued light at dinner.
RVers need to call for reservations, if you want full hook-up sites other wise RV,s and tenters will share the sites I have reserved. Call @ 909-887-3643..
We will be in a private campground but if we drive outside the grounds we are in the National Park and we will need wilderness passes for the cars, there is a store that sells passes just down the road. Marco is the expert on hiking in the area so we will rely on him for a guide to hiking on Saturday. Friday is the first day for arriving, we will have hot spiced tea and beverages, and a wine and cheese set up on Friday evening Pot luck on Sat. night,. Bring 2 bundles of firewood (this will depend on fire hazard conditions) for the camp fire. Lytle Creek runs through the camp grounds, and is an excellent place to start a hike, up or down the canyon, according to Marco there is a great waterfall about 11/2 to 2 miles from the camp. This is also a great spot for a quite weekend. It is close in and yet away from the hustle of the city.
The cost is $25.00 for members and $30.00 for non-members, $5.00 for day trippers ( those who did not pay the full trip fee.) Parking is $5.00 per day.
